Looking for Grief Support Groups in San Diego?

Finding support when going through the grieving process can be overwhelming and frustrating at times. Friends and family are being as supportive as they can, but sometimes you need someone who really understands and empathizes with what you are going through.

Seeing a professional counselor or therapist for Grief Counseling can be the saving grace in the overwhelming grieving process. At Connected, Seen & Heard, Karolyn Johnson is a licensed mental health professional who specializes in grief, loss, and bereavement. Karolyn offers a safe, compassionate environment to help you start healing. The healing process from grief is not the same for everyone. We have an expectation of ourselves and others to “be strong” or “heal so we can find peace.”  The actual process of doing that is difficult and exhausting, but not impossible. Karolyn provides you with the opportunity and space to be open and honest- authentic in your healing journey. She emphasizes that grief counseling does not happen only directly after an event. Thoughts and feelings and triggers and reactions can happen with anniversaries of the incident, birthdays of your lost loved ones, or around major/minor holidays. There is no “getting over it,” but there is the opportunity to “grow through it.” Visit our grief counseling page to start your healing journey.
